Adriene Kidd
City of Jackson Director of Human and Cultural Services
Adriane Dorsey-Kidd is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of providing social services and mental health care to individuals and families. In addition, Dr. Kidd also served as a Social Work Professor for several years at Jackson State University. Dr. Kidd has extensive work in the areas of mental health issues with geriatric patients, environmental psychosocial issues with toddlers, sexually traumatized women and also working with death row inmates as a mitigation specialist.
Dr. Kidd, Director of Human and Cultural Services, is a graduate of Jackson State University and the University of Southern Mississippi and Tougaloo College.
Dr. Kidd is certified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, a Girl Circle Group Facilitator and, a Licensed Certified Social Worker for the State of Mississippi. Additionally, she has a Certification in Gerontology and also a Specialized Certificate in Child Abuse and Child Neglect.
