The Prelude is the first movement of a suite, which sets the harmonic and emotional tone of the composition. As an organizing factor, the Prelude sets the key of the piece. During the Baroque period, the tuning system of instruments did not allow for easy modulation (changes of key), so the compositional style kept the harmonic variance to a minimum. While the harmonic variance of the Prelude is restricted, its emotional character is wide-ranging. The Prelude can be supple and subtle, then shift to bold and daring. Similarly, our TECH JXN Prelude will have little harmonic variance and will set the tone and character of our two days together. But we will also, have opportunity for emotional variance as we introduce our respective interests and share our sixty second stories. Enjoy the performance of Casey Macklin, as he plays the Prelude from Bach’s second Violin Partita.

Join us for the Networking Breakfast from 7:30 to 8:20. William Bynum, President of Hope Credit Union, will convene the group and introduce the format of our time together.

8:30 - Casey Macklin will set the tone with a performance of the Prelude from Bach's Violin Partita.

8:35 - Welcome from Mayor Lumumba and About TECH JXN - Overview of the Event, Benefits, Outcomes by Dr. Blaine.

Who Is In The Room? - Audience members will give a 60-Second elevator pitch or mini presentation.
